La Saucisserie offers you and your party, the possibility of participating in one of our cookery courses which are held in Spring or Autumn.
More and more people love to cook. Not just the day-to-day standard cookery, but also learning how to cook more adventurous meals.  Here in the Dordogne (a region full with regional culinary specialities) you can deepen your knowledge and understanding of this hobby even more. Depending on the season, we can adapt our programme, so that we always cook with fresh produce available at that time.
We offer you related excursions, which have been adapted to the seasons: enjoy a visit to one of the many local markets, go to a special spot where you can buy the nicest ingredients, visit a local cheese maker, explore the truffle museum (with a visit to the truffle market in the truffle season), sample food from a very exclusive patisserie/chocolaterie, an outing to a water mill where top note oil is made, and many more possibilities.
If you like, we can work together with your specially tailored programme, or equally we can design a programme for you or your group.
Courses are provided for of groups of 4 or more people, and for lengths of time from a weekend to a week for each group.

You can choose from a course which places its whole emphasise on the French kitchen, when we will of course work with regional specialities and produce from our local area, but also include others from other parts of France. You may prefer a Global Course, where each day we will prepare food from a different country.  It is also possible to hold a course which combines cookery with wine tasting skills.  In this course, you would deepen your knowledge of the wines, grape varieties, learn to recognise several wines and also which particular wines would compliment a particular meal or style of cookery.
